Job Description:The Registered Radiology Technologist performs
medical imaging examinations under the direction of a
physician.Posting Specifics:

care. - Our 310-bed facility is Intermountain's trauma hospital for
Northern Utah and the surrounding areas. - At McKay-Dee our
patients are offered a full range of medical services and our heart
and stroke programs are nationally recognized by the American Heart
Association. - McKay-Dee is a Level II Trauma Center and is
dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients from
preventative care to medical interventions and emergency
care.Scope:Radiology Technologist responsibilities:
- Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and
prepares the patient for the exam.
- Is sensitive to the patients needs throughout the
procedure.
- Sufficiently explains to the patient and family the procedure
about to be performed in order to facilitate cooperation and
alleviate patient anxiety.
- Address any patient concerns.
- Perform radiologic exams that produce quality images and
ensures patient and staff safety. Accomplishes this by following
proper protocols, correct patient positioning, appropriate and
effective use of equipment, and adherence to radiation protection
and guidelines.
- Recognizes emergent patient situations and responds quickly and
appropriately.
- Thoroughly and accurately completes all required documentation,
including time stamps and image storage.
- Coordinate patient care and communicate pertinent information
to other patient care providers following procedure.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe environment for patients and
staff. Ensures that supplies and equipment are stored in an
organized and efficient manner.
- Pursue individual education and career development
opportunities, emphasizing those for new procedures and
equipment.Requirements:
- ARRT Registration
- Current Rad Tech License in state of practice
- Basic Life Support Certification issued through American Heart
Association
- May be required to complete the Medical Assistant Competency
Checklist within 90 days of hire
